  1. Study of the flow characteristics through a weir with a rectangular weir, square, trapezoidal and circular weir.
  2. Study of the flow characteristics through a weir with a V-shape, made on a thin wall.
  3. Determination of hydraulic mean depth for the flow channel.

FLOW OVER WEIRS

Flow over weirs modules contains different plate weirs such as triangular, rectangular, square, circular and trapezoidal.
The different weirs are installed with the use of the basic hydraulic bench channel and replaced easily and quickly. A level gauge is used for determining the head in the module. The head is used to determine the discharge to compare the measured and theoretical values. The weirs are made from clear acrylic and self-sealing.
